PETERS SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCE

PERFORMANCE AND COMPETITION TROUPE

The Peters School of Irish Dance Performance & Competition Troupe is comprised of the dancers who regularly compete at feisanna throughout the year with the goal to compete at RTN North American Nationals.

Troupe is invite only for current PSID Dancers. All Troupe dancers must be enrolled in a soft shoe and hard shoe class to be eligible to be in Troupe.

JUNIOR TROUPE

Junior Troupe is for younger dancers who are interested in Troupe, without the Troupe commitment of a weekly class and attending all the Troupe feisanna. Junior Troupe meets twice a month.

If your dancer is currently enrolled in classes and is interested in Troupe, please let us know!

TROUPE CEILI TEAM

The Troupe Ceili Team is a separate group of Troupe dancers who focus on ceili (aka: group) dances. The dancers are broken down in groups of 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 and dance a variety of dances both traditional and non-traditional.

The 2022-23 Troupe Ceili Team auditions will be announced soon.

Dancers interested in Troupe Ceili Team must meet the following criteria:

• Enrolled in at least one (1) soft shoe class for the 2022-23 dance year

• Have participated in Irish Dance classes either at PSID or elsewhere for at least one (1) year

• Be at least 7 years old.

The Troupe Ceili Team is $35/month (billed quarterly) with practices being held twice a month, beginning in October. Practices are mandatory, though each dancer is permitted to miss up to one (1) class for other commitments.
