Peters School of Irish Dance also offers Adults classes in addition to our kids classes. Currently the Adults classes offered are:

  • Beginner Adult Soft Shoe - Mondays at 8:30pm

  • Advanced Adult Class - Wednesdays at 7:30pm

Please see below for more information on each of the classes to see which one you are the best fit for!

Adults Beginners Soft Shoe Class
Mondays at 8:30pm - 2023-24 dance year

Our Adult Beginner classes are geared towards dancers who are new to Irish dance and dancers who may have danced before, but it’s been awhile. The class focuses on fundamentals in Irish dance and attendees will learn Reel, Light Jig, Slip Jig and have the chance to do some group dances.

What should dancers wear to the Adult Classes? All dancers should wear comfortable clothes to move in. Dancers can dance in sneakers, ballet/jazz/irish shoes or socks - its up to you!

What else do I need to bring with me? Currently we are asking dancers to wear masks inside the studio. We take ample water breaks, so bring water with you.

Advanced Adult Irish Dance Class

Our Advanced Adult Class is for dancers who have either completed the Beginners classes OR danced competitively. Class is held Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. Dancers will focus on advanced soft shoe movements and hard shoe as well. If you are interested in class, please reach out to us so we can discuss if this is the best class for you.
