Sara Peters - Owner & Instructor, Troupe Director

Ms. Sara began Irish Dancing when she was nine years old and started teaching classes when she was 17. After college, she returned to teaching Irish dance classes and fell in love with Irish dance even more now that she was able to share it with her dancers. As the founder of the Peters School of Irish Dance, she was responsible for starting the Irish Dance program in Southern New Jersey and grew it from six students to the amazing community it is today.

Ms. Sara’s favorite part of Irish dance is seeing the dancers learn & grow, and watching friendships bloom as dancers go to feisanna, parades and performances together. Her favorite Irish dance show is Riverdance, and she loves “Paint the Town Green” by The Script for performances.

Ms. Sara trained at the Nicholl School of Irish Dance and the McCoy School. Ms. Sara and the Peters School of Irish Dance are members of RTN, where Ms. Sara is currently serving as the President. Ms. Sara received her TCRG from RTN in 2022.

In addition to teaching Irish Dance, Ms. Sara is a certified yoga instructor. She resides in Southern NJ with her husband and their 3 dogs.
